Carrie L. Krucinski earned her MFA from Ashland University. She resides in the Midwest and works as a professional writing tutor. Her poetry has appeared in Hotel Amerika, Quarter After Eight, The Broken Plate, Bellevue Literature Review, Lehigh Valley Vanguard, and The Stockholm Review of Literature. Carrie's work explores family history and the stories we tell ourselves about those with whom we share DNA. She also believes that anything, including death certificates from the 1930s, can be used to create art and a deeper understanding of how all of us write from not only our own memories but memories passed down through generations.

Podcasting is a new, unexpected phase for Carrie in  her creative life. If Kenzie hadn’t asked, she’d never do it on her own. As you’ll hear, Carrie has a question for every occasion, and Kenzie normally has the answer.

Mackenzie was predestined to shed light on mental health. Raised Roman Catholic, her confirmation name was "Dymphna," the patron saint of the mentally ill. In high school, she would tell people she wanted to be a psychiatrist when asked about her future. Now a psychiatric nurse practitioner, she had a minor, but meaningful, detour to nursing by pursuing a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in History at the University of Cincinnati. Her Master's thesis, "The brains of the Irish people are sound enough: The problem of mental deficiency in Ireland, 1912-1913," took a look at the overlap of discourse in Ireland regarding the mental health of its people and the resurging nationalist movement.

Never wanting to be the center of attention, she couldn't have done the Much Madness podcast without the help of her cherished friend, Carrie.
